What rate applies to you depends on where you conduct your business. The new law sets out a separate rate which will apply to employers located in the urban growth boundary of a metropolitan service district (essentially the Portland/Metro area). Another rate will apply within certain “non-urban” counties named in the law. Annual adjustments will apply after all the step increases are applied.
It’s best to go straight to the BOLI webpage for the most current and reliable information as to how to apply this new law. Once there, we recommend searching under “Technical Assistance for Employers” – “Minimum Wage” for the latest reference.
